Heritage Park Visits

Three heritage sites at one location

TradeCoast Central Heritage Park

Inside the TradeCoast Central Heritage Park Interpretive Centre you will be spoiled for choice between in-depth touchscreens, a movie in the cinema, an interactive model, and display panels with object cabinets.

Three heritage sites here at Brisbane's former Eagle Farm Airport at 87 Schneider Road Eagle Farm combine stories of Brisbane's convict era as the Moreton Bay Penal Settlement and two surviving World War Two sites – Allison Engine Testing Stands and Hangar 7.

Whether you are a local, touring from overseas or interstate, a history buff or on a school excursion, you'll find TradeCoast Central Heritage Park both relaxing and stimulating. You can bring a picnic or enjoy a meal at one of the food outlets, knowing there will always be plenty of parking available and room to spread out over the green grass of the park which covers what was once a convict farm, a women's prison, and a busy airport runway.

There are indoor and outdoor displays, a movie theatre, an interactive model of the entire prison farm and its buildings, touchscreens, and an expansive viewing balcony overlooking the whole site and its attractions.
